Legend tells of a simple farmer who was driven to madness by nightmares. Visions of horrific creatures pierced his sleep – terrifying monsters who inhabit the shadows of 5 dark realms, all led by the all-seeing Conductor. Unable to cope with the terror, the farmer fled into the night.
Tearing off a piece of his barn, the farmer carves day and night for three full days, his hands bloody and torn. Each sliver of wood that falls to the ground reveals more and more of the creatures that dwell within his mind. With his last dying breath, he finishes the six carvings and collapses dead to the ground. A flash of lightning sears his creation - the birth of this cursed vessel.
