SOMETIMES YOUTH IS NOT WASTED ON THE YOUNG
Based upon the “Description” of this pin, it appears that “Studio K” replaced the “Old MacDonald’s Farm petting zoo”. Studio K was an extremely good idea on Knott’s part. Coupled with some of the nationally known entertainers appearing at the Schultz Theatre around that time, Studio K was part of a golden era of Knott’s entertainment for a specific demographic of Knott’s attendees. Anyone coming of age during the seven year run of Studio K was very lucky. I can only imagine the youthful bliss, the synergetic fun, the energy and the excitement of having a “teenage nightclub” located right smack in the middle of Knott’s on all of those warm summer nights. Good job Knott’s for including Studio K in the 100th. Pin Club. The pin itself is kind of small, bland and nondescript. But none of that really matters. For thousands of aging adults this pin emits a barely audible, somewhat haunting Clarion call from a distant past. It triggers a forlorn, yet sweet recollection of youth well spent.
