This pin is an excellent example of how the judicious integration of the Peanuts genre can greatly enhance the significance of a 100th. anniversary subject. Knott’s very successfully did this with PIN numbers 62, 64, 66 and 68 also. Snoopy, with his dounut hole perched enthusiasm and Knott’s flag are perfect. I love the ubiquitous Charlie Brown “shirt pattern” on the numbers. The yellow glitter is cool and protected with a transparent finish. Good choice on the color of the flag. I’m glad that there’s at least one pin in the set that prominently displays “100” and uses Peanuts to promote it. Unfortunately, this pin suffers from the curse of that awful black cardboard backing. This probably isn’t Knott’s fault, as there’s probably some sort of copyright restriction issues involved here. But overall, this pin is probably the best conceptualization of a pin featuring “100”.
