Excuse me Mr. Rufus, may I have your “chicken scratch” autograph?
Is that Rufus that I see on this pin? Geesh, ain’t it enough that he’s the most photographed fowl in history and has a fan base numbering in the thousands ( not to mention TWO girlfriends)! Now that feathered phenom’s got his own pin!! What’s next, a Rufus TV reality show? No Anniversary pin set would be complete without honoring the beloved Knott’s Chicken Restaurant. In 13 years, that place will celebrate its 100th. birthday!!! Here are a few of the restaurant world records that it has set along the way: longest continuous operation, most meals served, total revenues earned, most folks employed and, last but not least.......the largest number of chickens who have given his or her all in route to that big chicken coup in the sky ( with an interim stop in our stomachs)! That Chicken Restaurant is a historic, nostalgic, aromatic and delectable addition to the 100th pin club. Along with The Marketplace, Ghost Town, assorted Hillbillies and of course Rufus, it’s a critical part of the of the most effective and feel good theme of any theme park in America.
